Let me tell you this much: It sucks.

I was able to find coverage for teaching but not for my normal dancing gig. There’s nothing like irish dancing on a little table with really loud music when  you feel horrible and, because your ears are so clogged, you can’t even really hear it. … and if people are clapping, forget about it.

U2 comes to Vegas on Oct 23 and the band is going. So we switched our normal day off from today to this coming friday. So i have to work tonight when i’d really just like to curl up and eat ice cream while watching Dexter all night. But it’s U2 so sickness doesn’t matter. I’m putting in the time to get the reward. I just hope my ailments go away. soon. it’s been 9 days already..

And I am not. 

So even though I think it’s pretty funny, you know, once I got over being mad about it, I need to get it fixed-er changed. 

I went in January to renew my registration and to get my new license and was told I needed my birth certificate.

Fine.

I went back in April to register my new car and to renew my license and the woman laughed and said that they were told that in Las Vegas, you just never know. She was very kind and included an example and said I wasn’t the first person that day in because of someone’s mistake.  But the computers went down so nothing was accomplished.

Hmmmph. Fine.

Then I go back today. I got a free pass and didn’t have to wait at all because of last week. Only  this week, my birth certificate isn’t good enough because it doesn’t state my gender.  She also isn’t sure if she believes that I truly am a female which is quite clear when she asks if I have a passport. I do. She then asks very gently and almost like i’m “special,” if the gender part on my passport says male.

NOT FINE. 

NO! FEMALE. IT SAYS FEMALE! I am a freaking Female!!!!! NOT male, FEMALE!!!! Which is precisely what i said. And you’d think, with that swing of the mood, that there would be no question…just a, Tara please go over to that line to take your picture for your new license that says F on it. Not M; F. F F F. I can think of a wonderful phrase that includes a lovely word that also starts with F that I would love to shout to this dmv woman who didn’t look like she believed me. 

It’s like, come on already! At this point let me just drop trou and prove it already. For christ’s sakes , let me just have the damn license. Don’t make me go back there!

I made her give me another pass through the lines for when i go back next week.  

DMV. I hate you!

WOOHOO!

My new love.

I bought a 2009 White Rav4 yesterday. I fell in love and now she’s mine!

But seriously, Kansas? You awake in there? Baylor???? you lost to FREAKIN’ BAYLOR?

And what’s worse than Baylor is it had to be another B team….What, were Bucknell and Bradley not enough for you?

For your sakes you’d better hope that OU and UConn and Pitt lose…otherwise it’s an unbelievably embarrassing loss. And I love you guys; I support you. I’m no fairweather fan. But you haven’t earned anymore of this blog. The only saving grace was that 3 of the top 4 seeds in the Big 12 went down today. And as much as i loathe having to put this down, Go Missouri for beating the TT Brats.

You gotta give it to Syracuse. DID ANYONE SEE THIS UNBELIEVABLE GAME?! A game for the ages. 

A whopping 6 overtimes????

AMAZING. 

And even better…Syracuse didn’t lead until the 6th overtime. They merely met the top score every time. There is nothing I want more right now than to rewatch that game. 

And even even better…they beat UConn!!! YAY!

My life.

I don’t do much at work. I do a dance here and there, and the majority of the time i F*ck off.  So, for my readers’…reader’s?…enjoyment, I shall compose for you a list of Tara’s F*off’s.

1. I read.

2. I practice. A) for myself in irish B) for my dancers choreography C) ballet movements or combos

3. I put two chairs back to back and squeeze in the middle. Then I push myself up off the ground and attempt men’s gymnastic maneuvers. It’s still early on, i’m still just attempting a proper right angle.

4. I run and slide. 

4b. I run and slide pretending I’m a gymnast at the olympics doing a vault.

5. I practice ice skating stops with the arms doing different things each time.

6. I make Donny and other security guards, servers watch me do this.

7. I chat with the servers and staff.

8. I have spontaneous dance sessions with Frank

9. I practice my boxing with the food runners and bussers.

10. I practice spanish with the kitchen and Maria.

11. I tell people where the patio and bathrooms are. 

12. I’m  a texting fiend.

13. I fend off drunken perves with clever comments and sly spy get away moves.

14. I draw stick figures and fat cows.  Pictures coming soon.

15. And, in honor of March Madness, the very best time of the whole entire year, I trash talk. 

       And, in honor of March Madness, I shall give you an example.

      2.0: I mean, maybe if KU had skills like the Rebels(unlv for those of you who don’t know) they wouldn’t lose games like that

    Me: Well maybe if the Rebels had skills like KU they’d be ranked right now.
